Technical difficulties...

So I didn't realize this actually posted. I don't know what's going on-technology is great when it works, and really frustrating when it doesn't. Makes me realize just how dependent I am on it sometimes. :o)

Anyway, CJ's usually in bed when Dave gets home from work, so its so cool when he's still awake and a huge smile spreads across CJ's face when Daddy walks in. (Maybe because he's tired of playing with me all day?) They have lots of fun, as you can see here, and I have lots of fun watching.

So close!

CJ is so close to walking, its not even funny! We captured this on video, shortly he took a step (but of course he refused to take another one for the camera.) Any time now...

Way too long

I remembered right around 6 pm tonight that there was a special Mass for the St. Thomas Mothers Assn tonight at 7. Since I remembered so late, no chance of getting a sitter since Dave was working late tonight. So, call me insane, but I really wanted to go. I (turns out underdressed) lugged CJ into the car and drove over there. CJ was ok for the first half, distractable with toys, and then he just wouldn't be quiet so to the back of the church we went. And CJ proceeded to make lots of noise in the back, making any attempt at rejoining the group fruitless.

I couldn't help but be jealous of the moms there who were so put together and kidless for a couple of hours. But listening to Fr. John's homily about the important work we do, creating relationships in the home and elsewhere, really got to me, making me thankful for my vocation and my family, and I wanted to sit and emotionally ponder these deep thoughts. (Thank you very much, little baby preborn, for making me an emotional nutcase.) After Communion, CJ would not last even a few more seconds so in the back of the church, I received Fr's blessings, blessed myself and my two babies, and drove home praying that CJ would still go to sleep when we got back, after knowing he'd snooze in the car.
